VegiZyme™ also provides the small intestine brush border enzymes (vegetarian source), cellulase (fibers), maltase (grains), lactase (milk sugar), and invertase (sugars), to help with completing the digestive process. Many patients who complain of difficulty in digesting ‘raw vegetables and certain raw fruits’ are deficient in the cellulase enzyme. Maltase deficiency can impair complete digestion of grains and lead to grain intolerance. VegiZyme™ can be used as an excellent aid in the allergic patient.
